Strictly Come Dancing judge Alesha Dixon has been unveiled as the new face of a series of new dance and exercise courses for health club operator LA Fitness.
Dixon has been brought in by the firm to oversee the development of the dance courses which form part of the firm’s plans to launch itself to the forefront of the UK gym scene.
Former Strictly champ Dixon, who courted controversy earlier this year with her appointment to the show’s judging panel, will strut her stuff for the campaign which the firm hopes will cash in on the increasing popularity of dancing and the Government’s Dance4Life campaign.
The company confirmed that Dixon will receive a share of revenues generated through the new classes.
Martin Long. LA Fitness’ chief executive, said: “Alesha will bring a fresh, contemporary eye to the entire LA fitness business.
“This is a unique relationship in that the vast majority of her renumeration will be performance related, and a direct result of revenue growth. As such we look forward to working with her to develop new classes and products that our current members will enjoy, and that capture the imagination of potential members.”
